K-2 Resource Teacher
I graduated from Salina- Sacred Heart High School in 2010. I went to Cloud County Community College for my first year of college then transferred to Wichita State University. I graduated from WIchita State University in December of 2014.
I have my Bachelors of Arts Degree in elementary education. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Special Education through Fort Hays State University. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I am also ceritied in Crisis Prevention Intervention.
Professional Development Attended: Training in Pathways to Reading and DIBELS
The 2017-2018 school year marks my first year of teaching and I am excited to start my career at Lincoln Elementary and in the USD 402 district. The subjects I primarily focus on are Reading and Math. I also help coach the Chess Club team for 4th and 5th grade.
Before I took the position at Lincoln, I worked as an Elementary Paraprofessional in Andover for 2 years. I also coached High School Wrestling, Middle School Wrestling, Middle School Football and Middle School Track for Andover. I did my Student Teaching at William Allen White Elementary in Wichita.
I am not married and I do not have any children, but someday in the future I would like to get married and start a family. I do not have any pets.
I enjoy hobbies such as: bowling, chess, board games, card games, hunting, fishing, hiking, football, college basketball, and wrestling. When I am not teaching, I like to spend my time at the gym.
